History
Originating in South Tyrol, Italy (a region with strong Austrian influence) in the mid-2000s, the Hugo Spritz quickly gained popularity across Europe as a lighter, more floral alternative to the Aperol Spritz. It's often credited to Roland Gruber, a bartender from Naturns. It's a beautiful example of how simple ingredient swaps can create an entirely new, beloved classic within the spritz family.
