Nonsense Sour
A bright, cheeky vodka sour with a velvet texture and a lingering finish, perfect for when you're feeling a little bit 'talk-too-much'.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Vodka
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 0.75 oz Strawberry Rhubarb Jam
- 1 Egg White (or 1 oz Aquafaba)
Instructions
- Add the jam and lemon juice to a shaker and stir briefly to dissolve the solids.
- Add the vodka and egg white.
- Dry shake (without ice) vigorously for 10 seconds to build foam.
- Add ice and shake again until very cold.
- Double strain into a chilled coupe.
Glassware: Coupe
Garnish: A single edible flower or a light dusting of freeze-dried strawberry powder.
History
Based on the classic Sour family, this riff swaps simple syrup for jam to add a punchy, fruit-forward 'nonsense' to the profile. It’s light, frothy, and high-energy—much like the track itself.
