Ogre's Bathwater
A vibrant, green gin cocktail, balancing the crispness of London Dry Gin with fresh lime and an aromatic basil-mint syrup. It's herbaceous, tangy, and utterly refreshing, perfect for a swamp rave.
Ingredients
- 2 oz London Dry Gin
- 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.75 oz Basil & Mint Simple Syrup
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
- Shake well until thoroughly chilled.
- Double strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
Glassware: Highball glass
Garnish: Lime wheel and a gummy frog
History
A playful riff on the classic Southside, a gin-based cocktail that dates back to the Prohibition era, often associated with speakeasies and garden parties. We've just given it a slightly more... swampy upgrade for our favorite ogre.
