The Soggy Dollar Sunset
A clever riff on the classic Navy-style Smuggler's Cove Painkiller—part of the tropical Colada family—utilizing a split base of aged rum and rye for an unexpected spicy backbone.
Ingredients

- 1 oz Rye Whiskey
- 4 oz Pineapple juice
- 1 oz Orange juice
- 1 oz Cream of coconut (Coco Lopez)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice.
- Shake vigorously to emulsify the coconut cream and create a frothy texture.

- Garnish generously with freshly grated nutmeg.
Glassware: Tiki Mug or Highball
Garnish: Freshly grated nutmeg and a pineapple wedge
History
This tiki-style drink, often found in island resorts, builds on the tropical flavor profile of a Painkiller but incorporates rum and rye. The addition of rye whiskey provides a spicier counterpoint to the lush coconut and fruit, creating a complex and satisfying balance.
